Acknowledgments

I want to thank my wife, Marjorie and both my children, Ashley and Ryan for their patience during the past 7 months, while I have been dedicated to this project for countless hours away from them. I would also like to thank Corliss Taylor-Dunn, M.A., MFT, for her many hours of dedication to reading this manuscript, making suggestions for clarity and focus, and challenging me to explore issues in more depth.

My professional development in corporate diversity/inclusion training and consulting was a result of many coaches and mentors over the past five years. These include many colleagues from J. Howard & Associates, part of the Provant Solution, in Lexington, MA. Verna Ford, Audra Bohannon, Janet Humdy-Morrison, Cheryl Huddleston, Dr. Marrey Embers, Sharon Vanderslice, Sandi Myers, Donna Bostic, Dr. Jorge Farias, Kathy Lenox, Tammi Jean Franklin, Kelvin Spillman, Lisa Fenn, Tiffany Johnson-Hester, Karen Fromhold, and Dr. Maria Valdes.

My mentor in conflict resolution and mediation training is Sam Leonard from the Center for Solutions and author of Mediation: The Book. My mentors, supervisors and coaches in marital and family therapy, include: Jerry R. Deming, MSW, Vern Lewis, Ph.D., Martha Miser, Ph.D., Alex Masterson, MD, Vern Lewis, Ph.D., and Linda Lifur-Bennet, Ph.D.
